HERAS selection board decides to fund 6 research projects

On 7 September 2017, HERAS conducted the selection board meeting with regard to the funding of research projects. The meeting was prepared and lead by the consortium member, Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), whereas the selection board was composed of representatives of Austrian Development Agency (Chairperson of the Selection Board), Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Republic of Kosovo (MEST) and Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (bmwfw).

The board reviewed received applications and decided to fund 6 research projects that aim at promoting international scientific cooperation and networking between Austrian researchers, researchers from Kosovo and researchers from the Western Balkan region in the specific thematic areas. Noteworthy, before the selection board brought their decision, the projects were reviewed by two independent experts. The board also decided to go for the second round of call research projects which will be launched soon.

New projects from the second call and also rejected projects from the first call who can show improvement in their application, will have the possibility for being funded.
