On 05-06 November 2019, HERAS conducted a two-day training on “Project Cycle Management” for the academic staff of the University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka” (UHZ). The training was organized in close cooperation with the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects of UP with the purpose to strengthen the capacities of this office and academic staff in order to increase funding absorption opportunities and efficient project implementation. During their welcoming speech Rector Fadil Millaku and HERAS Team Leader Aqim Emurli, stated how important and necessary are these kind of initiatives at university level. HERAS expert, Ms. Vjosa Beqaj Krasniqi in accordance with the needs of the participants, prepared the training modules that were related on problem identification and effective project proposal design.
During the training, the participants were guided on how to apply the Project Management Cycle (PMC) and Logical Framework Approach (LFA); they were provided with essential information on the policies, programmatic, regulatory and technical aspects of project management and ways to ensure coherence, sustainability and transparency of project work. All the training sessions were followed with concrete examples in working groups. The training was tailored and specifically designed for the needs of the UHZ staff in order the impact of the intervention is bigger.
