On 25-27 September 2019, HERAS conducted a three days training on “Project Cycle Management” for the academic staff of the University of Prishtina (UP). The training was organized in close cooperation with the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects of UP with the purpose to strengthen the capacities of this office and academic staff in order to increase funding absorption opportunities and efficient project implementation. In their welcoming speech Vice-Rector Faton Berisha and HERAS Team Leader Aqim Emurli, stated the importance of this kind of initiatives at university level that is high on demand. HERAS expert, Ms. Vjosa Beqaj Krasniqi in accordance with the needs of the participants, included training modules that were related on problem identification, effective project proposal design, including project implementation, reporting and evaluation.
This training also included comprehensive guidance on how to apply the Project Management Cycle (CMP) and Logical Framework Approach (LFA); provided essential information on the policies, programmatic, regulatory and technical aspects of project management and ways to ensure coherence, sustainability and transparency of project work. All the training sessions were followed with concrete examples in working groups. Noteworthy, the training was tailored and specifically designed for the needs of the mentioned target audience in order the impact of the intervention is bigger.
