A very successful event commenced on 02 June 2021, gathering the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Members of the Working Group (representing higher education institutions).

The main aim of the first Workshop was to present an overview of the current standing in quality assurance and establish a baseline for the revision of the national standards for institutional and programme accreditation, in the frame of ESGs and best European Practices.  A long process of preparations, including data collection and surveying of the Independent Accreditation Evaluators and Higher Education Institutions preceded this event, in which the main findings were presented and discussed in order to ensure the substantial involvement of all stakeholders in shaping and defining Accreditation Standards towards improving the quality of education and research in Kosovo.

The event was conducted under auspices KAA director Mr. Naim Gashi and facilitated by the HERAS Plus team leader, Mr. Aqim Emurli whereas supported by the HERAS Plus international expert, Ms. Melita Kovacevic. The process of revision will last until May 2022 and until then, several workshops, meetings and exchanges between all stakeholders are sought.
